LiveChat Software, a provider of a SaaS-based suite of products for managing business communication, is inviting coders, freelancers, entrepreneurs, and entire teams to take part in a fully virtual hackathon. The month-long event, .txtlss - virtual hackathon by LiveChat Platform, kicked off Thursday, September 17 and will run through Wednesday, October 15.
The theme of the event, textless communication, offers plenty of room for creativity from developers. The goal is to find better ways of communicating emotions through text and other communication channels. Participants can also come up with ideas on how to communicate without using text at all.
Our mission, as a company, is to help people and businesses communicate better. During this hackathon, we aim to engage a diverse group of future technology leaders to help us remove communication barriers between customers and businesses. With so many innovative solutions that we can create together, we believe that we can make online communication as efficient as face-to-face meetings.
Filip Jaskólski, Platform Manager at LiveChat Software
Contrary to the five previous hackathons hosted by LiveChat, this year’s event is open to everyone. Participants from all over the world can build apps on the LiveChat Developer Platform using LiveChat’s APIs, documentation, and services as building blocks to create new messaging experiences. They can submit their solutions from day one up until the very last day of the event.
The hackathon offers a total of $22,000 in monetary awards to participants. Winners will be announced in October. More information about the virtual hackathon and submissions can be found here.
